Jessica came back and sat with Rekka for the rest of the day. Isaac returned and had a lot to say.
Turns out that he won a bet in the most Con artist way. Coning a Con artist, there's a great thrill to that. anyway turns out that a man named Elmo, the very one that Kissed Rekka, was making bets or wagers with adventures that if they could get to the drawf ruin defeat all the enemies and return without dying, then he would give them all the magical items in his room. (which was basically the whole room). But if they didn't then he would get half of their magical items. Well not one group was able to do it. Isaac made the agreement with the head druid as a mediator. then he teleportated to the dragon area in the ruins, and Teleportated to an area in the town, then walked back to Elmo's room. he showed prove of his feat. Hence winning the bet. Elmo probubly wouldn't have made the wager if Isaac told him that they just at the ruins and the ones that brought back the other group. Also since the Druid help him out with a way to carry it all, and then a place to store it, Isaac told him about what was going on. the Druid then wanted to call a Town meeting and have Isaac tell the town. It was agreed that Isaac would speak for the group and the rest of us would keep our mouths shut.
When it was time, Jess and Rekka went to the Blacksmith shop. Once at the blacksmith's, Rekka is fitted with a pair
of metal eyes. They feel cold, and even after wearing them for a time,
they don't seem to be getting any warmer. The blacksmith give her the the items she requested.
"I remember Bar Wench talking about these," Billy said, holding out a
set of masks, "and we had a little extra time, so we made them for her
too."
Jessica tries them on and seem happy with the results.
Before Rekka leaves the blacksmith shop she asked a few more questions. "Is part of
this quest about figuring out what this quest is?" she said, teasing,
being in a better mood. "you don't have to actually answer that. I was
wondering though, if there are any elven ruins on this land?" .
"Here are many ruins in this land, and other lands,
that are remnants of the old elven kingdom. But I don't know of any that
are more than just a few stones. Their buildings were less sturdy than
the dwarves."
"Thanks you. And Billy..." Looks straight at him, "Finally I get to say
this...Good Bye." And gives him a hug. As she walking towards the door,
"Not that its forever...I'll get to meet both of you again." and walks
out.
Both Jess and Rekka Head over the the Townhall to listen in on the meetting. Rekka wanting to see how the crowd reacts to what's being said, she uses her cloak to hide herself in the back.
Major notes of the Meeting:
The cities spies saw the previous Head Cleric for the chapel of Saint Cuthbert (Y'dey) going toward Nulb. She never returned. It is also known that she had hired the adventurers that you saved in the dwarven mines to do some 'searching' for her in the ruins of Nulb, and that they were given a map. They fear Y'dey has fallen to Evil, and suspect that she's attempting to rebuild the cult of elemental evil. The other adventurers left town a few days ago, but your best chance of stopping the cult would be to find the adventurers, get the map, and see what Y'dey was planning.
"Y'dey was a warewolf. Didn't you know? For years we turned a blind eye to her, because her lycanthropey was different, not beholden to the moon. But now that we know where this comes from, we fear Y'dey is in league with Duke Lupik."
Once the meeting was over, the group returned to the Inn and Discuss plans for the next day and got everyone all caught up with the latest information.
Rekka laid on her bed and stared at the ceiling. Jess slept next to her. Getting up she walked to a small window that over looked the street. She place her forehead against the cool glass. She had just come to a life altering decision, and not even three days later she's questioning it. How in the world is she suppose to fix things? how is she suppose...to do anything about all this? She realized that she was sighing and rolled her eyes at herself. Moving over a chair she sat down and looked at the moon. Rekka thought back to the cave. All those soultrapped. Then the mess with Sardic, the werewolves, and evil cults....A battlefield... she and the other stood on a small hill. Knights in armor, glinting in the dying sun, charged towards the Ocean of soultrapped. A dark figure floated above the ocean Egging the ocean forwards. Wave after Wave crashed over the Knights, they were just no match. Rekka could feel the Dark Figure looking at her...and then it was just her and the Figure. In nothing but darkness. Fear grip Rekka, all she could do was watch as the figure came closer. Then light shone around them. Figures appeared out of the darkness, like they were casting it aside. They glowed with a soft light, their eye's and opened mouth glowed brighter. Sliver hair fluttered upward dispelling the darkness. The figure dissipated, leaving Rekka standing in the middle of this group of glowing people. they stared at her.
"What do you want from me?"
She hit her head against the window pain, waking her from her dream. She could feel a little bump on her forehead, rubbing it she got up. Hours had pass, and although not tired she was a bit unnerved by the dream. Getting up, She stretch started doing her daily exercise to keep flexible. Jess was long since up and doing her own thing. she kept looking over concern at Rekka but said nothing.
